Soccer and Songs

Last Saturday I was finally able to finish up the dresses my Gram and I were working on from her last visit. They turned out really nice and both girls loved them. Before I was done I put Abigail's on to check the length. When I took it off she literally threw a fit because she wanted to keep wearing it. They got to wear them the next day to church.
Girls in their new dresses. Abigail insists on having her baby and purse whenever she goes "bye-bye".

The only way to get Abigail to smile was to sing the B-I-B-L-E. This is them squatting to start the song.
Monday was Davey and Cassia's last soccer practice for the season. Practice ended with Cassia finally making a goal. She was so proud. Then they had a little party with cupcakes and received their trophies. Davey was excited to get another trophy and has done well this season. He has really taken to being a goalie. Cassia was also super excited to get a trophy. Her first one and she told me later that she got a trophy because she made a goal. They have one more game a week from Saturday to enjoy.

I mentioned last week of posting the kids singing during bible time. Here are two songs that are the kids favorite. Abigail absolutely loves the B-I-B-L-E. We always start our bible time with that song because she loves it so much. Abigail squats down like Davey and Cassia and babbles as we sing. When she is really hyper she can really get into it. No matter how many times we sing it she squats down and starts singing it again. Hope you enjoy the songs!

I have to share a funny quote from Cassia. At breakfast today we were talking about our day as usual. Then out of no where Cassia says she needs to tell God something. "I need to tell God that He should make the grass blue, the trees pink, and the bunnies orange." Davey and her continued to discuss all the different colors God should make all the different things they could see. I love their imagination and how simple it is for them to talk to God about everything. Even to "critique" Him on his beautiful creation.

Family Fun!

We have had lots of fun since I last wrote. The day before Mother's day my mom, Cassia, and I went out for afternoon tea. Cassia loved having real tea in a real tea cup and even enjoyed the little tea sandwich with salmon on it. She is definitely her Daddy's daughter. At home she used to always pretend to make coffee, but now she loves making tea for everyone.
Sipping her yummy tea.

On Mother's day we had the joy of having Abigail dedicated. It went well and Papa gave a beautiful blessing over Abigail. At the end of the day we had to say goodbye to Grandma and Papa. The kids are still asking how long before they come back for another visit. Then the next day Dave and I left for our vacation and had a great time relaxing. It sounds like Nana and the kids had a blast while we were gone. The kids still continue to tell me stories of their time with Nana. It seems the most memorable for both Davey and Cassia was their long walk to the park and stopping to watch the big trucks and tractors doing road construction. They also continue to request we sing the new song Nana taught them during Bible time. WhenCassia is down for nap quite often I hear her singing the song to her babies. I will try to get a video of it and post it next week. Even Abigail is starting to really get into it.
Loving the kiddie pool!

All enjoying the big truck and tractors.
By the time the week was over Dave and I were excited to see our cute little monkeys again. We enjoyed all the hugs, kisses and snuggles from all of them. We had fun at their soccer game the next day and then had to say our goodbyes to Nana. This week has been good, but also a bit sad as we miss our family so much and love having all the company. We are looking forward to our fourth of July camping trip and can't wait to see the family again.
Abigail had her 15 month well check yesterday and she is doing excellent. She weighed in at 18lbs 2oz, which is in the less than 5th percentile. The Dr. isn't worried at all since she is still keeping with her own curve of normal growth. They also checked her iron count and we are up to good levels so we get to stop the iron supplement! Abigail did have to have 3 shots, which she did great with. However, by the evening she was hurting. I was getting last minute things on the table and told the kids it was time for dinner. Normally Abigail walks into the kitchen with the other kids. She was in the living room and started fussing. She acted as if her legs were stuck. She couldn't walk because her legs were so sore. Abigail ended up falling asleep on Dave before we even had a chance to get her pjs on. She woke up this morning back to her normal spunky self.

Easter Celebarations

Family picture on Easter Sunday.
Life has been going at its usual fast pace and I have finally gotten around to posting again. For Easter we had two days of celebration. On Saturday we went to the city wide Easter Egg Hunt where the kids enjoyed playing on the different bounce houses. They both really enjoyed the blow up obstacle course. Cassia was a little too small, but enjoyed having her older friends from church help her through the rough parts. Davey was so proud that he could do it all by himself. Then they had the Easter egg hunt. Even Abigail was having fun getting the candy and putting it in the bag.
Enjoying the bounce obstacle course. Cassia wanted to do it over and over, but wanted her friend Kaden to go with her too.
Awesome Tattoos!
On Easter Sunday we enjoyed going to church and the kids learned the real reason we celebrate Easter is because Jesus is alive! When you ask them why we celebrate Easter they will shout out "because He is ALIVE". The girls and I wore the Easter dresses my Gram helped me make on her last visit. After the service our church put on an egg hunt for all the kids. Since Abigail had had some practice at the egg hunt the day before she was all excited and really got into it. I think she ended up with more eggs than Davey and Cassia.

Have to have our bunny ears!
Last week we enjoyed having Great Gram come out for another visit. We went to the Children's Museum where Abigail had a great time on the toddler slide. Davey and Cassia had a great time playing with the different toys, but Cassia was bummed we ran out of time before she could be the "cooker". There was a huge area for pretend play for grocery shopping and restaurants. It was a nice place and we will have to go back again soon. We also enjoyed going to the wildflower park. We had a wonderful morning walking around and seeing all the flowers and plant life. Davey and Cassia's favorite would probably be the pond with the turtles.
Abigail and her slide. She went down it at least a dozen times.

I went to the Dr. today for my regular prenatal check up. Baby is doing great. The nurse had a hard time at first finding the heartbeat since it is still so early in the pregnancy (just over 12 weeks). When she did find it you could hear my heart beat, and just a little softer and faster the baby's heartbeat.
Grandma is here visiting us now, Papa is flying in late Thursday and then Nana is coming on Saturday. We are so excited for all of our company and looking forward to having Abigail dedicated in church this Sunday. I can't think of a better Mother's Day gift than having my baby girl dedicated to the Lord and getting to share it with my mom and mom-in-law. Dave and I are going on an early anniversary vacation next week so it might be another week and a half before I get a chance to post, but hopefully after that I will be able to get on a better routine of posting each week
